Based ideally in Sydney and reporting to the senior management team, the role will focus on fulfilling key cultural heritage assignments, whilst advancing client relationships. You will take direct responsibility for the successful completion of projects, which deliver successful commercial growth as well as developing a talented team.

 

Duties will include:

  • Ensure best-in-class cultural heritage consulting to a diverse, nationwide client base.
  • Take a lead role nationally on cultural heritage proposals and projects.
  • Manage nationwide cultural heritage projects ensuring successful outcomes for all stakeholders.
  • Lead and develop a highly talented team. Grow the team as required.
  • Ensure client relationships are maintained.
  • Work towards increased revenue and identify new business opportunities with internal staff members.
  • Continue to raise the profile of cultural heritage internally.
  • Ensure your own continuing professional development and status in the cultural heritage community.

This role would suit a dynamic and experienced cultural heritage professional with a proven track record of working successfully with clients across a variety of industry sectors.

To succeed in this role you will need:

  • Technical expertise regarding Australian heritage with a detailed knowledge and understanding of built, aboriginal and natural heritage sites and issues.
  • Detailed knowledge of Australian heritage legislation and regulation, especially with regard to public and private sector clients.
  • Experience of managing projects, taking accountability for client service and satisfaction, budget and financial management, as well as quality control and team leadership.
  • Experience of leading and mentoring junior staff in technical and project management skills.
  • Demonstrated experience of the ability to develop trusted working relationships with senior staff, both within and outside of Australia.
  • Tertiary qualification and commitment to CPD.
