Online MS Interviews for the Gulf students

[LTSE 2021]

Assalamu Alaikum

MS is planning to conduct online interviews for the Gulf students on Sun, May 23rd and Mon, May 24th 2021. From 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM. If you're interested, please read on.

Note: We know this is short notice, so if you're unable to attend the interviews now, MS has agreed to do further interviews a week from now. Interviews from other colleges will also be organized soon.

Instructions to register for the MS interviews:

• Interested students need to send an email to: obaidf...@gmail.com
• In the email, provide the following:
•     Student's Name
•     Phone number
•     Email address
•     Postal address
•     LTSE Hall Ticket number
•     10th class Hall Ticket number
•     Engg or Medical stream
•     Attach your Adhaar card or some official Photo ID
•     Attach your 10th class Hall Ticket
•     Mention an interview slot you'd prefer: e.g., Sun morning, Mon evening, etc
• The college will contact students directly for the interview slots
• The relevant Zoom link will be shared by them directly

Preparing for the interview:

• You can give the interview from the comfort of your home
• Make sure you avoid any noisy places
• Interview questions will be based on your learnings from 9th and 10th
• They'll cover Physics, Chemistry, Maths (for Engg stream) or Biology (for Medical stream)
• The approach to problem solving will be more important than getting the right answer
• Be ready to explain how you arrived at an answer
• You'll be asked to write your answers on a sheet of paper. Keep a few of them handy with you
• You don't necessarily have to prepare separately for the interview. Whatever you'd studied for the 10th exams should be good enough
• Keep yourselves fairly free the whole of Sun and Mon

Instructions during interview:

• You'll need to use a camera phone for the interview. The laptop's camera would not work because you'll have to show how you are solving the problem on a sheet of paper
• Zoom or other video sharing link will be provided by MS
• Be prepared to show your face on the phone's camera in the beginning of the interview. The interviewer needs to see and interact with the student once in the beginning. Once the interview starts, the student and the answer sheet needs to be clearly visible
• There will be a technical test first, for about 30 minutes. If its taking longer, it is a sign that you're doing good. So, don't be alarmed. There may be multiple interviews happening at the same time, so be a little patient if the interviewer is not immediately responding to your queries
  
• This will be followed up by a 15 minutes psycho-analytical test
• Once you start answering the questions, place the phone on a slightly elevated, and stable place, such that you and your answer sheet are both visible in the phone camera. If you have a phone holder, that'll work best
• Make sure the camera does not shake. It is best not hold the phone in your hand

Interview Slots:

• Sunday, May 23rd and Mon, May 24th 2021 - 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM
• Note that the time slots will be provided by the college directly
• However, it may not be possible to provide exact times, and depending on the rush of students, your allotted timing may shift a bit. Please keep the entire day free for the interviews

Interviews for the remaining Kerala and Karnataka students will be conducted later. They will also be online.
