Online Zaitoon Interviews for Kerala students

Assalamu Alaikum

Zaitoon International, Kerala is now planning to conduct online interviews for the selected Kerala students next week, from Mon, May 31st to Wed, June 2nd 2021, from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM Indian Standard Time. If you're a student from Kerala who was selected for the LTSE 2021 interviews, please read on.

Instructions to register for the online interviews:

• Interested students need to fill out the following registration form: https://forms.gle/mkgkRgwp8yJFhnuy8
• The college will contact the students directly about the interview slots
  
• The relevant Zoom link will be shared by them directly

Preparing for the interview:

• You can give the interview from the comfort of your home
• Make sure you avoid any noisy places
• Interview questions will be based on your learnings from 9th and 10th
• They'll cover Physics, Chemistry, Maths (for Engg stream) or Biology (for Medical stream)
• The approach to problem solving will be more important than getting the right answer
• Be ready to explain how you arrived at an answer
• You'll be asked to write your answers on a sheet of paper. Keep a few of them handy with you
• You don't necessarily have to prepare separately for the interview. Whatever you'd studied for the 10th exams should be good enough

Instructions during interview:

• You'll need to use a camera phone for the interview. The laptop's camera would not work because you'll have to show how you are solving the problem on a sheet of paper
  
• Zoom or other video sharing link will be provided by the college
• Be prepared to show your face on the phone's camera in the beginning of the interview. The interviewer needs to see and interact with the student once in the beginning. Once the interview starts, the student and the answer sheet needs to be clearly visible
• The college may also ask for photo IDs or hall tickets at the beginning of the test
• There will be a technical test, for about 30 minutes. If its taking longer, it is a sign that you're doing good. So, don't be alarmed. There may be multiple interviews happening at the same time, so be a little patient if the interviewer is not immediately responding to your queries
  
• Once you start answering the questions, place the phone on a slightly elevated, and stable place, such that you and your answer sheet are both visible in the phone camera. If you have a phone holder, that'll work best
  
• Make sure the camera does not shake. It is best not hold the phone in your hand

• Note that the exact time slots will be provided by the college directly
