GoFundMe offers an opportunity to help Anne and Liz with the high cost of home care, which Anne needs now. Maybe you already know -- she's having a very rough time.

Giving back to Ms. A - ❤️ Anne Allaman

Be the first to share
Anne Allaman has been an important person in so many lives! We are setting this up with the humble blessing of her family. It takes a village!

Our fearless Ms. A. was diagnosed with PSP and has recently begun to need at home assistance. This is INCREDIBLY expensive and many people have expressed wanting to find a way to help.  With that thought, let’s all give a little back to an incredible woman who has given so much to us! Her family deserves time to not worry about expenses so they can focus on caring for the beautiful woman who has always given to others unconditionally.

I do not know a lot about PSP but have linked a short summary below. Google PSP yourself as links are not allowed in GFM. As you donate, please share your incredible story about Anne. The "goal" is a temporary one. At home care can cost $50k a year and up. Lets support someone who has given so much to others.

I can not say, and do not know, the recommended treatment, other than I understand that Anne would like to remain at home with her dogs. Medical specifics can stay up to her family to disclose.  If the needs for funds end, we will end this GFM. If the need for funds increases, we will up the amount. If her family expresses other ways we can help, we will share that. If there are funds left over, a cause dear to Anne's heart will receive them.

Please share this and give what you can to help our dear friend, and teacher, who changed our worlds!

PSP: Progressive supranuclear palsy (PSP) is an uncommon brain disorder that affects movement, control of walking (gait) and balance, speech, swallowing, vision, mood and behavior, and thinking. The disease results from damage to nerve cells in the brain

Anne and I shared so many conversations about all things educational, political, social and philosophical. What a brilliant, caring human being she is. The stories of her connection with students are voluminous. Love to her and to Liz, her favorite child : )

Ms. A was a huge influence on my elementary school self. She will always be my favorite teacher. She is such a loving, giving and caring person. My love of ancient things comes from all her knickknacks from her classroom from all over the world. The love she had for all of her students was/is amazing. I hope that my children will be able have a teacher in their lives that impacts them as much as Ms. A has me.

Anne’s contributions to our lives are priceless. I wish I could give millions. It still wouldn’t be enough.
