I've seen a lot of answers for this online but can't seem to get any of them to work. On some pages I'd like to remove the banner image, but not for all. When I add code like #collection-53210a78e4b0af19e7e35792 #banner-area-wrapper display: none; in the Code Injection Header section or directly into the advanced tab in page settings it just ends up displaying in the upper left corner of the page.

Can someone please tell me how to hide the banners in the Shift template? I have attempted the above codes and it doesn't seem to work. Am I doing something wrong? The solution seems simple, but for some reason I can't get it to work. I"m a total beginner with CSS, so maybe I am missing a step other than simply copying and pasting above into header settings.

I have the SKYE template and you're only allowed to have a thumbnail image that matches your banner. They don't allow a separate banner image. I was wondering if you could set a thumbnail for a specific blogpost that doesn't display as a banner image without affecting the other blogposts where you DO want the thumbnail to display as the banner image. Thanks

i was very confused to hide the banner image and try to make the code but not successed then i concern with the very professional web developer that helps me as more as i need. Try to contact with them if you have any issues in your website .

There was a recent site redesign for my company and we are planning to change out the banner image for our landing pages on the site. Since it would be a pain to do it one by one, I was palnning to upadate the template that all of the pages are using and create a mass update that way since they all use the same banner image.

However I am running into a problem since the current landing page template is only available in the css/html code format and I'm having trouble figuring out how to put the new banner image in there without messing up the rest of the template.

If so - changing the image in the template won't have any effect on the live pages. The only thing you can do is duplicating the module, changing the image in the module(easier than via code), placing the new module in the template, save it - done.

I'm using Bedford template. I find I cannot adjust the amount of space that my banner image takes up on the screen. Naturally I want it to stretch width-wise, but vertically it takes up the entire screen on my Mac, and only on PC browsers. Is there a way to standardize this? Also, just in general a way to drag to banner area up and down to dictate the spread of the image?

You need to find the collection id for the specific pages and enter the same code. I have this on one of my sites to change CSS styling for just one page. Just look at your site using Google Chrome's "Inspect Element" feature, which reveals HTML and CSS on any site, and find the page id. It will look something like this:

Add a second line of code just like this with the page id for your second page and change the height to what you need it to be. Keep in mind that these changes will not apply to the mobile site unless you use more code, which I'm happy to help you with if you need it.

Thanks for this! Is there any way how to change banner height of individual blog posts in the Bedford template? I don't need each different, it can be the same height for all posts. I cannot find where to insert the code injection though. My banner image for the blog post is too narrow and the page title and blog post title text clashes in the banner. Thank you very much for any help!

I am trying to control the height of my banner images (Bedford template) on mobile devices. Could you please help me with the custom CSS code? I am currently using the following code to control the banners' height on desktops:

Having problems getting this done on Bedford template. I can change my homepage banner image size but I can't seem to get more than one page to have different heights even when using the unique collection ID for each page. I change my home page and then for some reason it changes my contact page also, even with code for the contact page collection ID. Any help? www.thisismoti.com

I just removed the banner images from every page except my homepage because the sizing wasn't working out but I'd like to add them back in if I can get them to be where I want (homepage 500px high, contact/shop pages 200px high).

We have no idea what you have done. So all the advice I can give you is for a banner 10foot by 3foot you do not need to print it at a high print resolution like 300DPI a lower resolution like 100DPI will do. The Document will be 9 times smaller than a 300dpi Document Photoshop will perform better when you edit your 10 foot banner with a 100dpi Print Resolutiom.

First and foremost, you contact your print professional and ask them what type of file, color profile, size and resolution they require. Then you create content to those specifications. You don't blow up your art work after the fact. That causes distortion and unwelcome artifacts that are certain to be noticeable on a printed banner.

I built the banner from a template and all of the images except the team logo are high resolution. I can start over and use this one as a visual guide. My issue is I do not know how to properly size the banner. I went to the website I am ordering my banner from if I ever get it ready for print and this is what was posted.

Decide how big your finished banner will be. Then create a new document of sufrficient height and width required for final output. Move elements from image 1 into new document. Repeat with other elements. Save often.

Thank you all for the advice. I always use Lightroom for sizing my pictures. I make minor adjustments there and move my image to Photoshop and edit, save back in Lightroom and finalize with a crop if needed. I literally have no idea how to size the banner in Photoshop. I don't know the steps how to do it. My template brings my images in as an smart object and fairly easy to change once there. How do I create a "new document" the correct size with my template?

Go to File > New and enter the final output height, width, resolution. If unsure which values to enter, pick up the phone and talk to your print service. They should also specify a color profile. I'm using sRGB in this example.

The Image you show is 6000px by 3000px it has a wide 2:1 Landscape aspect ratio. The banner you want to print has a 10:3 Aspect Aatio. You need to start over with a template that has the 10:3 aspect ratio you want your banner to have. You also post screen capture not cropped picture of your computer's display.

You've done a nice job on the artwork and pics. Here's what I would do ( on a side note, the printer's requests are pretty reasonable ). Setup your document file size in Photoshop to 1/4 final size. That would be 9" x 30" @ 300ppi RGB ( ask the print vendor which RGB they want ). Question now is adding bleed. Do you add 1/2" to the 9x30 or is it included in the 9x30? The file will be scaled at the print shop 400% ( resolution will end up being 75 ppi @ 36 x 120 ). Most grand format banner printers use RGB and print in photographic mode. Your challenge, as previously discussed, is laying out the new banner. This should be possible if you have your original images on layers or separate files that can be positioned to make the ultra wide layout.

It is always better to know your clients dimensions and resolution requirements before beginning the design, as it is a lot harder to make edits and adjustments after the design has been constructed. Especially if you have to scale up as this will in most cases cause loss in resolution!!

A Template for your Banner need to have a 10:3 Aspect Ratio your banner is 3.3 time wider than it is high. If a single image is to be the background of your banner it needs to be a wide Panorama image, or you can use two or more side by side images.

Thanks for all the help. I made another attempt to try to get it right. I know the layout is a little different but I hope I got the final size right along with the resolution. My final image was too large to upload so I am uploading screen shots with the information and final image, hopefully

I am so sorry that I called pictures from my phone screen shots... I am not sure how that helps me with my banner issue. The pictures I posted show the image size and canvas size. Is there more information that I need to provide to see if my problem is solved now?
