Tulsa is a wonderful place to live, located in northeastern Oklahoma between the Ozark Mountains to the east and the Southern Great Plains to the west.  It’s a relatively large city with a population of over 400,000 located along the Arkansas River.  At the city waterfront there are hiking/biking trails and a large city park, The Gathering Place (recognized as one of the Nation’s best city parks).  Kayaking, competitive rowing, and wildlife watching opportunities are plentiful.  Its location is an ideal setting for exploring a diversity of unique ecosystems all within a short drive, including several National Wildlife Refuges and public Wildlife Management Areas in Oklahoma, as well as nearby Arkansas and Kansas.  Tulsa also has many cultural amenities such as local arts, theaters, and museums along with a revitalized downtown area.  Housing is relatively inexpensive with the cost of living being below the national average.

Please help spread the word and you may contact Daniel Fenner at (918) 260-8149 or daniel...@fws.gov with any questions.

Thanks, Daniel
