The South Carolina Department of Natural Resources is taking applications for a Wildlife Biologist II position based in Charleston, South Carolina. The employee will assist with research and monitoring of recreationally and commercially important marine invertebrates, primarily shrimp, blue crabs, and horseshoe crabs. Job duties include field work, data analyses, and manuscript preparation, with the opportunity to present research findings at regional and national conferences. The position is currently slated for a minimum of 12 months, although the length of the position may be extended contingent on the acquisition of additional funding. A Master's degree in biology or related field or a Bachelor's degree in biology or related field with two years of relevant experience are required.
