Good morning,
Land IQ is currently seeking talented applicants for our Agricultural Scientist (Soils/Crops/Irrigation) job opening. This position would be on-site, located at our office in Sacramento, California.
Land IQ specializes in providing solutions to challenging agricultural and environmental problems in the western United States and throughout the world. Our areas of expertise include spatial agronomics, production systems, soil science, water quality and demand evaluation and management, salinity and nutrient management, irrigation management, ecosystem restoration, statistics, remote sensing, geospatial analysis, land stabilization and regulatory policy.
The Agricultural Scientist position will involve working with our agricultural science and environmental teams as well as our geospatial and development team comprised of remote sensing/GIS specialists, data scientists, and web-based developers. Applicants must have strong fundamentals in cropping systems, field sampling methods, soil and crop science, data analysis, soil/plant water dynamics, and geographic information systems (GIS). A knowledge of salinity and irrigation management is a plus. The applicant must also have excellent communication skills, and a demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks, perform work on-time, and within budget resources. A desire to perform both field and office-based tasks is imperative.
