US Fish and Wildlife Service  -  Wildlife Biologist, GS- 0486-12

Midway Atoll National Wildlife Refuge and Battle of Midway National Memorial is advertising for a GS-12 Supervisory Wildlife Biologist.  Midway Atoll is a remote, beautiful and ecologically rich National Wildlife Refuge in the Papahanaumokuakea Marine National Monument.  Midway is home to the world's largest nesting colony of albatrosses (Laysan, black-footed and short-tailed), the endangered Laysan duck, as well as many other magnificent seabirds and shorebirds.  Hawaiian monk seals and green sea turtles enjoy our waters and beaches.  We also have healthy marine populations of fishes, corals, spinner dolphins, manta rays and sharks.  We have an active invasive plant control program complimented by our native plant restoration efforts.  We have ongoing research projects and year-round volunteers and interns to support our wildlife and habitat management activities.  We are looking for someone who is organized and experienced running complex projects, can coordinate and collaborate with partners, and possesses good leadership and communication skills.   If any potential applicants have any questions, they may contact Pamela Repp at (808) 954-4818 or Jared Underwood, Superintendent Papahanaumokuakea Marine National Monument, at (808) 208-2095
