TechStyle Fashion Group is currently seeking an Intern to join the JustFab & ShoeDazzle Design team for Summer 2020.
Design Intern. We are looking for a kick ass intern to join the Global Fashion Brand Design Dept this summer to learn the ropes of taking product from concept to completion and support our design team.
We are looking for a creative, detail oriented, ambitious person. The ideal candidate will be a clear communicator, who is self-motivated and truly interested in learning the design process from end to end. We don’t take ourselves too seriously, and neither should you. Fashion is fun, and we are looking for someone who has a passion for it!
What You Will Learn:
- Sketching: Work with designers to use Adobe Illustrator to concept and sketch seasonal styles
- Development: Work with designers and PD to move the product through it’s life cycle, sourcing new fabrics, updating CAD’s & PLM, and sitting in fittings
- Team Work: It makes the dream work! Learn to work with all of Designs cross-functional partners such as PD, Production and Merchandising to execute seasonal assortments together
What you will be doing day to day:
- Assist in sketching apparel styles and attend Sketch Review to learn the process of style adoption.
- Attend key milestone meetings: Sketch Review, Design Line, Proto Review and Assortment
- Assist in updating changes to styles as necessary after milestone meetings occur
- Assist in meeting preparedness: the key to a successful meeting is great preparation and having all the right tools to make the necessary decisions.
Qualifications:
- Education; Studied Fashion Design
- Years of experience – No experience needed
- Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
- Experience with PLM or PDM a huge plus!
- Clear communicator, organized, self-starter with a passion for fashion
The Intern Gig: TechStyle Fashion Group is looking for enthusiastic students with ambition to go far. Our internship program will give you a chance to gain in-depth knowledge of what it is like to be a TechStyle Fashion Group employee and to be a part of our fast and innovative company culture. Our summer internship program will last for 9 weeks and start at the beginning of June, with the unique opportunity to gain real work experience, while participating in fun social activities and offsites throughout the duration of the internship assignment.
