About Our Internship Program:
Here at Amway, our interns develop through real world experience and are assigned meaningful projects that challenge and allow for personal growth. All Interns receive project support and on-going performance feedback from a person advisor and hiring manager. Amway hosts over 80+ interns each summer and offers programming events designed to assist navigating Amway culture, making the most of a summer internship, and building a successful career. The program provides exposure to a breadth of career fields and offers unique opportunities to learn business acumen, work cross-functionally and showcase their skillsets directly to hiring managers and executives.
Internship Eligibility:
This job posting is for our summer 2021 Internship Program (May – August); qualified candidates must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 and one semester or more left of school to complete at the beginning of their internship. Candidates who have graduated are not eligible to intern.

Internship Job Title: Food & Beverage Forumation Intern
What is special about this team: Amway is the leading direct selling company in the world and its global Innovation & Science team delivers new product development for our global markets around the world. This talented team balances both science and creativity, working closely with Marketing partners to deliver new product innovation in the core nutrition categories, supporting fundamental health and wellness solutions. This team collaborates with myriad cross-functional partners, including Marketing, Regulatory, Quality, Manufacturing, Packaging, etc. There is also a close partnership with our global affiliate teams around the world, ensuring we are meeting the needs of consumers.
How would an intern contribute to the team’s success? Under the guidance of a Technical Mentor, this intern will explore a variety of different delivery options for a general wellness category that consists of multi-vitamin & minerals, single vitamins & minerals, concentrated fruit & vegetables, and phytonutrient containing beverages. The intern will innovate against trends for a new and refreshed approach in this category. The intern will work with a cross functional team and will also collaborate with co-manufacturers for delivery formats which may include food, snacks, confections, and beverages. The intern will leave with a practical understanding of new product development. They will gain exposure to a variety of cross-functional partners and departments. The will interact with various levels of the organization.
An example of a typical project is: To identify and develop alternate delivery formats that can be fortified with multi-vitamins, minerals, and phytonutrients.
What skills and background will be important to be successful in this internship?
Desired Skills: Food product development/formulation, stability, process engineering, laboratory skills, analytical testing
Desired Degree: B.S./M.S. Food Science & Technology
