Job Description
TechStyle Fashion Group is currently seeking a Design Intern to join the Savage X Fenty team for Summer 2020.
How Will You Fit In?
This individual will have an interest in lingerie who is detail-oriented, organized, and has a desire to learn the fundamentals of design. The ideal candidate is self-motivated and loves a fast-paced environment while still maintaining a passion for lingerie, design, teamwork…and of course, Rihanna.
Job Overview:
- Provide daily support to Design, PD and technical design teams
- sketch updates, line-sheet updates, tech pack updates
- Design set sample coordination
- Tidy/maintain Design area
- Provide general administrative and clerical support teams including: filing, mailing, scanning, copying and assisting with ad-hoc projects
- As needed provide support to PD Team and Tech Team to organize samples and file lab dips in Binders.
- As needed help Tech to pack samples to ship back to factories, creating packing labels
- Pick Up Samples from mail-room for tech and PD.
- Prep and organize for in-house Design meetings when needed
- Prep and deconstruct presentation boards for off-site meetings
- Assist in other tasks as needed by Design for presentations such as prepping racks, packing/unpacking for off-site meetings, miscellaneous meeting prep, and running errands
What We Require for you to Succeed:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- A strong interest in fashion, specifically Lingerie
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities and hit strict deadlines
- Demonstrates creative problem solving and collaborative thinking
- Ability to follow through, ask questions, and maintain a high attention to detail
- Strong aesthetic style and awareness of current trends
- Flexible, positive, and determined attitude
Qualifications:
- Candidates must have reliable transportation, position is based in El Segundo, CA
- Must be currently enrolled as a full-time student in pursuit of a design and/or product development degree (proof of enrollment will be required if selected for an internship)
- Basic to intermediate knowledge in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite (mainly Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator)
The Intern Gig: TechStyle Fashion Group is looking for enthusiastic students with ambition to go far. Our internship program will give you a chance to gain in-depth knowledge of what it is like to be a TechStyle Fashion Group employee and to be a part of our fast and innovative company culture. Our summer internship program will last for 9 weeks and start at the beginning of June, with the unique opportunity to gain real work experience, while participating in fun social activities and off-sites throughout the duration of the internship assignment.
