Dear All,
Dr.Shankar prasad's ppt presentation -corruption at bbmp.
. SKP presented the story of citizens fight against corruption in Sachindanda Nagara.
Active citizens of the area used RTI and Lokayukta to acquire khatas for the land that rightfully belongs to them
Even after a sustained effort of committed group of folks, the land owners did not receive their khatas.
"After Dr Shankara Prasad's presentation last weekend, a few of us spent more time discussing how such Loksatta can add strength to such work. I think it would be very nice if some of us actively worked with him to support the efforts of Bangaloreans to get their khatas in a fair and transparent way. I would like to encourage you to volunteer to take up this work, so that people in other zones of BBMP (besides RR Nagar, that is) can also feel part of a larger effort, and we can all work towards a specific goal - transforming land records management in the city".
