We had our very first 'election' rally in Bangalore this morning. Lead by a folk music group, Team N.S.Ramakanth
walked the streets of Vasant Nagar starting from Sigma Mall in Cunningham Road  the procession with enthusiastic supporters  (80 of us!) including students,  employees , home makers, senior citizens walked the streets of Vasant Nagar across Millers Road ending the rally at Mt. Carmel College.

Th theme of our walk is "RING THE BELL TO BRING THE CHANGE" since BELL is our election symbol.
We asked the citizens to ring the bill to symbolically express their interest to bring better governance.

As we all know, Mr. N.S.Ramakanth is a great Champion for Garbage segregation and recycling in Bangalore City
and wanted his campaign to be used for raise awareness for this cause.  We pushed a  garbage trolley
through out the walk and collected  DRY WASTE, E-WASTE, PLASTIC WASTE - SEGREGATED AT SOURCE along our  route.  Press folks were keen on capturing this unique way of campaigning.

Citizens of the ward responded well and  connected instantly with  "BELL"
Voters are inspired to see a highly educated man known for his work in Kumara Park contesting elections and taking on major party candidates and a group of young folks. We distributed our ward manifesto created specifically for this part of the ward. Slogans raised along the walk
"Vote FOR PROGRESS, VOTE for RAMAKANTH" "gante barisi, brashatachara odisi"
"RING THE BELL to BRING THE CHANGE"  "LOKSATTA  ki JAI HO"

As we enter the final week of our campaign, a big volunteer force is needed for us to distirbute the voter
slips to every single home and mobilize voters on polling day. Please ask your friends to join us even if they
have few hours of available time. We have Loksatta folks from Mumbai and Hyderabad helping us on the campaign
and we still need a large pool of volunteers for Saturday/Sunday 27/28th.

Let the bell ring!
