All of you are well aware of corruption and unethical influence that is prevalent in the recruitment for government jobs. There were serious malpractices and irregularities in the Gazetted Officers selection process that was conducted by KPSC recently. Most of it was unearthed by the CID during its thorough investigation. An Assistant Commissioner post was sold for Rs. 1.5 crore and a DSP post for Rs.80 lakhs. This is the very reason for the corruption and bad governance in our government offices and police stations. As the government has not taken any further action and has all the intentions of protecting the culprits we had planned for a protest at CM's residence on last Saturday (21-12-13) and more than 50 of our party members were arrested while hundreds of you came to the venue to show support.

To cleanse KPSC from corruption and fix the irregularities in that institution once and for all, we need to increase our effort and continue our
fight. The clean-up of KPSC is imminent, and we from Loksatta need to give that extra push and lead those efforts. In this regards, the party is holding a 3-Day Hunger Strike (day and night) at Gandhi Statue, opposite to Mourya Hotel, near Ananda Rao Circle, Bangalore from tomorrow (28-12-2013.) We had a press conference on this regard yesterday and it has been covered by most of the news papers. We are expecting social and political activists of our state to come and participate in this strike. But without your presence in greater numbers we won't have an effective fight. Please bring your friends, family, and even kids and show your support to the people who would be doing a 3 day hunger protest.
