I wrapped the hymnal as an android app. It plays the tunes and has a faster way to navigate hymns and do searches.It is on the play store at https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=lsm.english.hymnal.

I just wanted to thank you for the android application.  It is a lot faster navigating the songs.  It is also nice to have it on a separate application from iSilo so that the Word or HWMR can be on iSilo and songs accessed separately.  The only thing I am missing is the ability to bookmark.  Much grace to you.

I really like the app!!! thanks for putting it together. Here's a suggestion if you have time...

I have a samsung phone, which supports split screen. For example, I have iSilo on one side and browser on the other. Or Taking notes on one side and YouTube on the other. The app has to support it though.
If you have the time to add split screen support to the app, here's a link that might help.

On my Galaxy S4, the only way to exit the app is to press the home key. May I recommend that a menu item be added to properly exit the app?

Also, when I first downloaded the app, when I would expand the window, the text would re-paginate and adjust line lengths to be properly readable in the window. Now all of a sudden it does not. Does anyone have any idea what might have changed?

You're very welcome! Unfortunately I'm not comfortable sharing the source code as of yet. It's still very much in flux and I'm planning an update to it very soon.

My app actually works on all modern platforms, including iOS, Android, BlackBerry, etc. but I don't want to spend $99/year for Apple to publish an iOS version. That's why it's only available for Android at this time. Sorry!

Hi,

When I use the app on my Nexus 5X with Android 7.0 the app crashes every time I tap "browse hymns". It says "LSM English Hymnal has stopped". I tried clearing data. I tried rebooting the phone. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app. Still makes that error.

I can view the other indexes, just not the one that lists the hymns in alphabetical order. Please help diagnose this problem.

It does not crash on my Samsung tablet.
