Hi,

Yesterday, we were informed that there's a requirement of two voting categories.

Votes from Displaced Electors : Specifically for the vanni electoral district, there are electors registered in vanni but, placing their votes from puttalam which is considered as displaced voted. The counting centres for these displaced votes are not mapped to any polling divisions but, straightly mapped to the electoral district as how it happens for postal votes. But, this cannot be combined with postal and it's a completely different category.

Votes from Quarantine Centres : Inorder to facilitate voting for the citizens going through quarantine weeks on the election dates, there's a request for enabling that through the system. Mapping wise this is also completely similar to above but cannot be mixed together.

For both above, the number registered electors can be given by polling stations. EC has a system to find which polling station belongs to each and every citizen by their identity.

On the tally sheets, for both above categories, there should be separate tally sheets until PE-CE-RO-V1. PE-CE-RO-V2 should be having two new columns for both above as postal votes.

Regards,
Dinuka
