[ECLK/results-tabulation] Results release requirements for Parliament Election 2020

Hi everyone,

We need to know the results release requirements of the parliament election with following details.

1) From where is the results being released? Is it from EC or district offices. And who has the authority to do that.

2) Which results are being released. And what's the format. We are aware of some of these things only and can we get this official.

3) For now, for any release report, we have thought of having following process through the system. Do you need to have any changes to these.

• View the report (Not available to print until it's verified)
• Verify the report (Now it's available to print)
• Move to certify (This is to be triggered once it's printed and sent to get the official's signature)
• Certify (Scan the signed report and upload it and mark the report as certified. And then it's available to release to media and public)
• Release

Last when we discussed this, the following were the reports mentioned as required to be released to the media.

PE-CE-RO-V1   -->  PE-R1

PE-CE-RO-V1.  -->  <letter-template-to-be-decided>

PE-R2         -->  <letter-template-to-be-decided>

PE-21         -->  <letter-template-to-be-decided>

1) Is this still valid? Can we please get a confirmation on this?

2) Is there any update on the letter templates?

Hi,

We had a discussion with sreen yesterday and let me share the updates below.

• PE-CE-RO-V1 letter template is to be kept as PE-R1 while a new template is always welcome. [Dinuka]
• PE-CE-RO-V2 is not being released, it's results are released only with the PE-R2 report
• Come up with a letter template combining PE-CE-RO-V2 and PE-R2 for PE-R2 release. (party, vote count, seat count) (Include all the parties regardless of seats received) [Dinuka]
• PE-21 release letter and the report are the same 
• Come up with a letter template for national wise results (party, vote count, seat count, national list seat count etc.) (Filter the once having  at least one seat) [Dinuka]

All above are still subject to be reviewed once done.

In summary following are the results expected to be released as of the discussion yesterday.

• PE-CE-RO-V1 (party, vote count)
• PE-R2 (party, vote count, seat count)
• PE-21 (party, candidate, preference count)
• National Results (party, vote count, seat count, national list seat count)
