Director of Supply Chain Management (Chatsworth, CA)
Our client, a leading microelectronics company located in Chatsworth,
CA, is seeking an experienced Director of Supply Chain Management to
join their team. As the Director of Supply Chain Management, you will
have responsibility for developing and directing the supply chain
companywide including overall creation of processes, procedures and
documentation. In addition, you will be responsible for developing and
managing strategic relationships with suppliers and distributors,
creating mutually valuable partnerships. Your ability to lead the
effort to implement the manufacturing strategy for the company as well
as creating relationships and identifying partners who will turn
inventory rapidly, will bring immense value to our organization and
the bottom line.
Responsibilities
· Identify and partner with suppliers who acknowledge,
understand and can fulfill a rapid inventory turn around time
· Ensure that materials and manufacturing services are procured
in a timely fashion and that products are produced with minimal cycle
time
· Maintain optimal inventory levels to support customer
requirements while achieving targeted inventory goals and continually
minimizing costs
· Develop departmental goals, tactics and objectives to ensure
alignment with company strategy, goals and objectives
· Ensure that supplier activities, decisions, and actions
conform to production policies and procedures
· Analyze supplier manufacturing trends and skill sets to
ensure diversity for sourcing and purchasing
· Forecast operating costs of department and directs
preparation of budget requests
Requirements
· BS in Engineering, Accounting or Business
· 10 years of experience within manufacturing and inventory
management with progressive levels of responsibility, preferably in
the microelectronics industry
· 5 Years of Supply Chain Management with at least 3 in an
environment of high inventory diversity and turnover
· 8 years team leadership experience
· Experience utilizing ERP systems for inventory tracking and
auditing
· Experience with Lean manufacturing
· Effective negotiating skills within a professional Purchasing
setting
· Strong written and verbal communication skills
