*INTERFACE_SSI in full deck restart using MPP dyna

Hi all,

I am currently running into some trouble while trying to run a large simulation using *INTERFACE_SSI. Based on the information provided at: https://lsdyna.ansys.com/knowledge-base/soil-structure-interaction/, the way to conduct this type of simulations is to run a static analysis to obtain the reactions, then do a full deck restart and apply the transient loads. However, while trying to do this using MPP, in the restart run I am getting the error shown below. It is interesting because this part does not exist, which leads me to believe this is an error related to domain decomposition. I tried to run the same simulation using SMP dyna, and this error did not occur.

Are there any additional control cards that need to be included in the input deck in order to run this type of analysis succesfully on MPP?

I am not familiar with *INTERFACE_SSI and only rarely used the MPP version of LS-DYNA.

 

My only suggestion is use a recent version of LS-DYNA; R15 is the current release.                     --len
