Request for Guidance on Underwater Explosion Simulation in LS-DYNA

Greetings,

I am currently working on numerical simulation of Underwater Explosion using LS DYNA. I have created an axisymmetric model since the full model has very high computational time. And I am facing some difficulties obtaining expected bubble dynamics and pressure response of explosion. The main issues I am facing are,

1.      I am not able to observe expected bubble pulsation. I have extended simulation time up to 800ms, but expected bubble expansion and collapse are not seen.

2.      Pressure obtained is also quite less than the one obtained by analytical equations.

3.      I have defined Curve of time against acceleration due to gravity, LOAD_BODY_Z here. But I really need guidance on appropriate LS DYNA approach/ keyword on applying gravitational acceleration to water domain, initial hydrostatic pressure distribution, and consideration of water depth in the model.

4.      I would also like to know how the buoyancy, hydrostatic force, and other fluid body forces are incorporated in an underwater explosion simulation.

My objective is to develop a realistic free field UNDEX model that can capture both shockwave response and bubble pulsation. I would really appreciate your suggestions regarding the appropriate LS-DYNA formulations, keywords, material/EOS definitions, boundary conditions, and modelling approach.

I suggest you have a look at the keyword *LOAD_DENSITY_DEPTH
