hello
I am running a one-element modelling for improving material properties. However, the model is immediately deleted. I checked my model, but I could not see the reason. I attached the keyword for the modelling.
Could someone find the main problem with my code?
Regards
Mojtaba

I suggest you change the value of TFAIL in your MAT054 parameter list to a negative value to prevent element deletion. Then assess why your element fails at the initial time step, even with the loading removed.        --len

Dear Mojtaba,

See if these are of some help:

Simple one element bending comparison study of *MAT_002, *MAT_022, *MAT_054, *MAT_055, *MAT_058, and *MAT_059.

http://ftp.lstc.com/anonymous/outgoing/jday/composites/allin1_ortho_bend.54.k

Research was completed to characterize the root behavior of the LS-DYNA *MAT_054 composite orthotropic material model. This primarily involved investigating the constitutive relations, ply failure (damage onset), ply deletion, damage factors, and element deletion:

Osborne, M., "Single-Element Characterization of the LS-DYNA MAT54 Material Model", Master's Thesis, Department of Aeronautics and Astronautics, University of Washington, Seattle, Washington, 2012.

The basic behavior of a progressive failure model that simulates laminated composite materials was investigated. To evaluate the fundamental elastic, failure initiation, and post-failure behaviors of *MAT_054, as well as the suitability of *MAT_054 to model fabric composite material systems, a series of single-element simulations was performed. The simulation used a carbon fiber/epoxy material system with various lay-ups, including UD tape and plain-woven fabric variants:

Hughes Technical Center, Atlantic City International Airport, New Jersey, February, 2015.

Dear Ien and James, thank you very much for your help and suggestions.
The TFAIL was the main problem, and by changing its value, this problem was fixed.
regards
Mojtaba
