Run Error

Hi everyone,

I have a problem at the beginning of my run. I do not think so this is related to the keywords. I think it is related to the excessive number of elements that are included to the model. It might require something different. I use approx. 10 milyon elements for this run and got the error seen below.

Does anyone know what's wrong in that model?

I can find no reference to “adptmp” in Volume I of the User Manual. But I do see that file is created often (always?) in my LS-DYNA run directories.

 

Guessing by the name, this is a temporary file “tmp” and possibly for mesh adaption “adp;” although I essentially never use mesh adaption.

Dear Kagan,

 

I found these comments which may be of some interest.

 

Those files are MPP temporary files. These are basically the equivalent of

the structured input file for each individual processor. They can be used to

figure out which elements/joints/seatbelts/etc ended up on which processor.

Is it possible you are put of disk space that that is why the file cannot be opened?                             --len
