I can find no reference to “adptmp” in Volume I of the User Manual. But I do see that file is created often (always?) in my LS-DYNA run directories.
Guessing by the name, this is a temporary file “tmp” and possibly for mesh adaption “adp;” although I essentially never use mesh adaption.
You best direct this question to your license provider or the ANSYS LS-DYNA support forum. --len

I found these comments which may be of some interest.
Those files are MPP temporary files. These are basically the equivalent of
the structured input file for each individual processor. They can be used to
figure out which elements/joints/seatbelts/etc ended up on which processor.
