Hello all,

I have a concrete cylinder model with Mat 159 CSCM. i have a problem with the stress strain curve specially the post peak part, as it is significantly influenced by the mesh size. The more the mesh is refined the more the post peak curve become constant which is incorrect as shown in the attached screenshots. Also i attached the three identical files only the mesh size is different. I will be grateful for anybody who can help in solving this issue.

Best regards,

When I occasionally use MAT159 I always use the _CONCRETE option so that the numerous material parameters are internal generated.

1\ Where did you obtain the set of input material parameters you used?

2\ Have you tried using the _CONCRETE option with an input value for the parameter DAGG for your three cylinders? Note: it typically is not recommended to have mesh sizes much smaller than the aggregate size.                 --len

Hello,

I calculated them based on the manual of this material because the concrete i use has no aggregate.
