Hello
I have a composite that is modeled by shell elements. its shells were separating each other when the composites was compressed in simulation ,so i changed the contacts between shells to tied contact as you advised.
now i have faced a new problem , i have modeled the shells fit to each other and changed the contacts to tied contacts in my k.file as you can see(all the elements are shell elements with nlock=0 and showing thikness is active):

Untitled.png
but when i open the d3plot file i see that the shells are moved to each other until that their segments are fit to each other(nlock of all shells=0)
as you can see:
Untitled1.png
could you help me with it?how could i have tied contact and the shells dont move?
