Segmentation Error in Model Execution

Hello everyone,

I'm encountering an issue while running my model. I receive a segmentation error, and the message file shows the following:

forrtl: severe (174): SIGSEGV, segmentation fault occurred.

I've searched extensively and tried most of the available suggestions, but the problem persists. The error occurs before initialization, meaning the run stops even before initialization starts. Consequently, there are no output files such as MATSUM, GLSTAT, or others that I could use to identify potential issues with the model.
I have thoroughly checked my model and successfully ran it using a simpler geometry. I also examined the geometry for any irregularities but did not find anything unusual.

I would greatly appreciate any advice or suggestions on how to troubleshoot and resolve this problem.

Generally such severe system level errors need to be debugged by ANSYS support.

 

It may be easier for you to try a more recent version of LS-DYNA before resorting to ANSYS support. Your R13 version is fairly dated with R15 being most recent.
