Engine oil to oil cooler pipe

Hi Alex and all,

 

Just bought a set of oil cooler pipes. I see they have upgraded the engine filter to oil cooler pipe by adding a metal piece in (see attached). I assume this is to prevent the rubber hose cracking at the connector which mine has done. Only problem is that it is going to be a tight squeeze to bend the hose as the bend is going to be right up against the wheel arch but technically it should fit. Will fit tomorrow and see! Why they didn't fit a metal bend there I do not know or would that make it too easy to fit?

May 2012 be a good year for you and all at LROC

HydraQuip in Moot Street, Hermanstad have made up engine and gearbox cooler pipes for me to specification before. They work and last well.

Hi Peter and all,

 

I fitted the engine oil cooler pipes today but it is a mission. The pipe to the oil cooler only just fits, there must be nothing between it and the fender otherwise you can't get it in. Then with all of them you battle to get them lined up to do up the fittings. Once they are lined up you can do them up by hand.

 

Tomorrow I will do the leak test!
