Installation and Run issues

Hi,

My name is Pat McLaughlin. I'm a grad student at John Jay College in NYC. I'm trying to run LRmix Studio but am encountering an issue. I have been able to download and unzip the program. I have also downloaded Java for Windows 10. I managed to get the .jar file to be openable with Java SE Binary but when I click on it, nothing opens. Are there any other programs that need to be running in the background? Is there a "LRMix Studio for real actual Dummies?" I would appreciate any guidance.

You need Java 8 and higher.

Thank you for getting back to me, Hinda. I have Java 10 installed currently. It just doesn't open when I click on the .jar file. That's why I was wondering if anything else needed to be running in conjunction. I have a way about me that makes computers misbehave.

I have the same problem with Java 8 (Windows 10) and I don't know how to deal with it. 🤔
