Hello,
I am Carlos, from Brazil.
Congratulations for the excelente software.
I have a few doubts:
I know I can choose different drop outs for a known individual and the unknows, fixing zero for the POI in case there is no drop out. But, imagine that there is only one drop out for the POI, would you reccomend to count the drop, for example, in this case 1 drop in 42 possible alleles, 1/42, and fix the drop out 0.02 (1/42)?
Another one: After the SA test, what value should we assume as drop out for the unknowns? Example: the interval 0.02 - 0.40? Should we assume 0.02? Or the value that returns the most conservative LR (in this case, how can I find the minimum LR? Only in the graph or is there a table for it?)
Sorry for all the questions, but we are validating the software to use in our cases, we are starting with mixtures of maximum 2 contributors. A final question: can we use the software for single profiles (no mixtures)?
Thank you. Best regards.
