Hello,

I find the LRmixStudio (I use version 2.1.3) an excellent tool but I am still not sure how the analysis with multiple replicates works. The thing that confuses me the most is the “the contents of the profiles is listed below” table for the replicates in the final report as it includes just some of the alleles from all of the loaded profiles and I cannot figure out what the rule for which alleles are included in this table and which are not is. On several occasions it happened to me that a certain locus was empty (no alleles listed) in this table, yet in the “results” table some calculations for that locus were obviously made…

I hope you understand my question :-)

Thank you!

Tereza

Hi Tereza
Can you send a reproducible example with the issue you are having. It does not have to be your real data.
Thanks,
Hinda

Thank you for such a fast reply! So I prepared an example of what I mean:

I have three replicates of a mixture from a stain

and profiles of two offenders

I loaded profiles from all three replicates and both offender profiles, the hypotheses being Hp (offender 1 + offender 2) and Hd (2 unknowns). In the final report the results table looks like this:

while the “the contents of the profiles is listed below” for the replicates looks like this:

I do not understand why for example in locus D18 allele 12 is listed in the “the contents of the profiles is listed below” table while allele 17 is not. Both alleles are present in two out of the three replicates.

Also there is no allele listed for the SE33 locus but in the “results” table some calculations are obviously made for this locus so I am wondering which alleles are used for these calculations.

Similar problems appear in all other locuses that I included in the example profiles.

I hope that made ma question clearer.

Thank you again!

Can you send me data that I can explore, chances are there is a formatting issue.
Thanks,
H.

Hallo: I would like to consult one issue. If I have a mixture and I find everyone of alleles of the victim in the replicate, to make calculations I have to give 0 to probability of drop out to the victim, Even when I am assesing the P(D) to use in the casework. Is it right? Thank you very much

Hi Manuel
If you think the victim should be anchored under a certain hypothesis (or both) and the dropout should be zero, you can indeed assign a dropout of 0 to this profile in LRmix Studio.
Best,
Hinda
