I am raising funds for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) as a participant in their Team In Training program and I'm asking you to help by making a donation to my fundraising campaign.  I decided to participate in Team in Training in honor  and memory of my Mom. As many of you know, she has run a few marathons with Team in Training (TNT).  Early last year she was diagnosed with cancer, had a very invasive surgery and suffered through radiation therapy.   Unfortunately she lost her battle with cancer in April of this year.   

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) was one of her favorite charities.  I hope to fill, in my own small way, at least one hole that was left when Mom passed away.  I’m raising funds for LLC and running the marathon in her place and in her memory.  I can train for and run the marathon, but I need your help to meet my fundraising goal: to raise $3650 to support The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society in its battle against blood cancers.  The LLS’s mission is to cure leukemia, Hodgkin's disease, and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families. Team In Training is the main fundraising program of LLS. 

The next few months will be a challenge.  Although I will be logging hundreds of miles and challenging myself both mentally and physically, it pales in comparison to what cancer patients and their families have to endure.  Please help support me and the LLS in this challenge by contributing generously.  All donations are 100% tax-deductible and 75% of all funds go directly to support research, public and professional education, advocacy, patient aid, and community service programs.
