Hi there,

We are working on Webtop application. I have done manual correlation
for open a file. Initially It was working fine. Later dry run was
successful. Then we increased the user load to 20. It was working fine
and again we ran for 20 users and it failed :(.

The following error occured:Decompression function
(wgzMemDecompressBuffer) failed, return code=-3

I googled and found few suggestions from the experts like
1.increas the network buffer.
2.auto header
3.adjust pacing and think time.

But no improvement. Now it is not even working for 1 user :( could you
please help to resolve this??

Regards
Rekha S

We are using our controller server as the load generator.

"We are using our controller server as the load generator. "

Bad Magic. Do not do this. This is not a recommended practice.

Implement a separate and independent load generator and retry.

This is a known bug.
Answer 2 describes 1 of 2 ways to workaround this. 1 and 3 won't help
(reliably).
Set your script configuration to accept only deflate or gzip, but not
both (which is the default).

And never use a controller as load generator.

is not a valid question i raised but still i have to explain to my
manager as i am a fresher to Load Runner.

This answer has been covered many times in this forum, the LoadRunner
Yahoo Group and SQAForums LoadRunner forum. Please search the
archives of the forums for the answerr. Also, please have your
manager send you to standard training and hire on a very experienced
mentor to work with you and your peers until you have mastered both
tool and process for this profession. If your manager is unwilling
or unable to do this for your success, then seek another manager.
