These two manual sets which are available in electronic form as part of your LoadRunner software distribution should provide you with the sound tool mechanical basis for how to implement monitoring with LoadRunner.
What to monitor? For that you should lean on your pre-discipline foundation skills in Architecture, Database Management, Network & Systems Analysis to define a monitoring strategy for your particular application architecture.
