Hello Group Members,

I have a script were i have Action1, Action2,,,,,,,,Action10. In which
for ex i have to Run Action8 for 100 times for that i kept that
Action8 in a loop. Each time when i run the script it has to capture
100 unique values for that i parameterized the script. But the script
is capturing only the first value in the parameterized table 100
times, i used different combinations such as 1 ) Select Next Row =
Unique, Sequential etc., 2) Update Value on= each Iteration, Each
Occurence etc.,.

Please give your suggestion for the above mentioned issue,

Thanks in Advance
Aravind.

what is the last setting that you've put in?
and how do you control the loop? through runtime settings or
programmatically?
does providing more than 100 parameter values work for you?

maybe you like to provide details for the group?

If you looping using the runtime settings, then select
1) Select Next Row = Sequential
2) Update Value on= Each Occurence

Each occurence means that each time loadrunner finds the parameter
anywhere in the script, it will pick up a new value based on the
"Select next row" settings.
so in your case "sequential" should work, if the parameter is being
used only in action 8 and only once..
hope this answers your question.

Hiranmaya.

I did the script both ways one through Run time settings and one through the loop. In the script i have to use the same parameter 2 times.

One simple solution would be to put each parameter value twice in the
parameter table one after the other.
Another solution can be to fetch the parameter value into a string at
the start of the Action8 and then use that string at the required two
places in the script.

hi

if the value is occuring only once in action8, u can use update value on each occurence. this would solve the problem.
