Script is working fine in vugen but its failing in controller. I tried several method but none is working. Can you guys help me with any solution. We can use Truculient IE only. For clearity on issue, i have attched image also.

Add an empty "Catch" step right after the alert step. "Press OK in alert dialog". See how it goes.

Hi ,

I have the same situation and tried the suggested solution. But this doesn't seem to be working. Basically the issue to get the control from webpage popup message back to the script so that the steps in the scripts gets executed. As soon as there is this pop up message the control moves to the pop up message and no operation can be performed untill OK or cancel button is clicked manually. Please suggest how this can be handled. Thanks

Hi,

I did not find any solution till yet so we moved on to Ajax FF. We can try to use JavaScript code to resolve this issue. Let me know if you get any workaround.

Hi Rashi,

Please check with Dev team once if its application dialogue or message from webpage? Is your script working fine in vugen dev mode? Please try to record the same scenario with FF once and try if it is working fine , if yes, this is protocol limitation. you can not do anything in this case. You can ask for other protocol to run script.

You are recording HTTP traffic.   When you record this in VuGen does it return any parameters or is it just a notification to the user.
Generally these popups are nothing more then notices to the user and really have nothing to do with the underlying http traffic.

Did you research the issue in this forum or bing?

Yes it is message from webpage. And my script is not working even in Vugen Dev Mode. I read somewhere that LR 12.02 might work but i am not sure. No evident discussion on this was found. Will try with 12.02 trial version.

Hi Mikael,

Were you also facing same issue with previous version? Are you sure it is working in 12.02??

Hi All,

There may be 1 workaround. Try to use AutoIT tool for same. this tool can handle non-browser popups. Please try and let me know.

Hi Rashi,

Check Load generator IE version, we downgraded it to IE9 and it worked for me. You can try same.
