Hello Experts,

Just want to understand, if there is any difference between SAP Web and Web(HTTP/HTML) loadrunner protocols?

If yes, what difference it would?

If no, can we use the regural web(HTTP/HTML) protocol for SAP application, instead of purchasing licence for SAP protocol?

Simillary, what would be the difference between SAP(Click and Script) vs SAP GUI protocol.

Please advise.

One is a superset of the other for the support of SAP specific structures in the HTTP communications between client and server.   Notice the foundation is HTTP.  Yes, you can use straight HTTP.  You will need to evaluate what the cost basis in labor to build extensions to support SAP specific items in the client code versus to license the SAP Web type.

As to click and script vs GUI, I will refer you to the VUGEN manual for a read on the two protocols.

Hi ,

Yes you can work with web protocol for SAP web applications. All depends upon the testing layer model.
