Vugen Error

Hi All,

i have an issue with the Vugen..when i launch the Vugen to record an web application.

Vugen is not able to launch the application i can see the recording tool bar..which shows as recording but the events will be zero

something like this Recording(0 events), and when i checked the Loadrunner_agent logs .i am able to see this error

Failed to start connection over firewall.No "MI Listener Name" was given [MsgId: MERR-29924]
Failed to start connection over firewall.No "Local Machine Key" was given [MsgID: MERR-29923].

Can some please help.

Sounds like your configured or not-configured properly for a firewall
condition.

Step 1. Open the load runner help dialog and search "Firewall". There
a ton of stuff there.
Step 2. From the LoadRunner windows menu /LoadRunner /Advanced
Settings /Agent Configuration & /MI Listerner Configuration & /Monitor
Configuration.
Step 3. Check the configurations of those 3 options.

Hi Kevy,

I have tried all those options but its not working,there is one more important point here..the LR installation is done with Admin Login credentials..where as i am using the tool with some other credentials which has admin rights as well.

 Might be this is an issue as well.

Do you have add-ons/plug-ings installed on your browser? (e.g. sniffers)

This could be a Windows DEP issue - search the HP knowledge base about this. Requires you to change settings.

For using the tool - Admin Rights are not necessary - Power User with Write privileges to a couple of Registry Keys is enough.

Even i faced the same issue for LR 9.5.1. Please check on which OS its installed as on 64 bit system LR doesnt support recording events.

Please chk the support matrix on HP forum.

u r using a system where a secure firewall is installed. add ur ip address to that firewall list and give all the necessery rights to that ip address....it will work.
