Find the <protocol>.asl file among other asl files in the 'merc_asl' file folder under the LoadRunner installation directory (Surprised why its not hp_asl?). Now append the new function at the end of the file followed by a '='.

By doing this you're adding a function to the list of allowed functions LoadRunner has for each protocol that a load generator constrained to use. To prevent the LoadRunner of being misused by outside resources.

In case of adding non protocol specific general LR functions, look for 'lrun_api.asl' in the same file folder and append the function as described above.

Hi

Please add the function to the relevant .asl file under <LoadRunner>\merc_asl

In order to prevent misuse of LoadRunner by outside sources, LoadRunner keeps a list of allowed functions on the Load Generator machine. The lists are stored in *.asl files under <LoadRunner>\merc_asl\*.asl (* signifies the relevant protocol).

For general LoadRunner (lr) of C functions, you can simply append the function with an equal sign to the end of the lrun_api.asl.
EXAMPLE: To add a function called 'lr_save_value', add the following to the end of the file:

Just missed to mention the way the funtion needed to be denoted that is function followed by the equal to sign :)

To add a function called 'lr_save_value', add the following to the end of the file:

lr_save_value=

Go to C:\\<LR installation directory>\dat\mdrv
Open mdrv_lrd.dat file in a text editor. Change the value of the concerned protocol configuration parameter from "SecureMode=on" to "SecureMode=off".

Thanks

Just add the command line parameter "-cancel_security_mode" to your
scenario. This way the CCI check is always skipped, even when using MI
Listener, and there is no need to alter the white list or
configuration on any machine.
