Hi All,

I need to test CICS screen for load (multiple users accessing the screen at the same time).

Any idea what tools/methods/processes to use to get simultaneously logins and perform some basic operations in the CICS screen?

Can this be done using HP Load Runner/Performance Center; If yes-what add-ins??RTE will work.

Thanks in advance.

Your terminal based architecture lends itself to a terminal based solution to represent the client interface - RTE

There is no training for RTE.   Find someone who has worked with at least three protocols successfully, such as web, database and Winsock.   Set them in front of your CICS client with your requirements and business process description and they will be just fine.   The key here is that you need the flexibility which comes from a cultivated sense of architecture which comes from being successful with multiple protocols.      Outside of script development and monitoring (SNMP here or have the admin watch it) the process is pretty much identical to any other performance test development effort.

Hire someone who has been there and done that.   Watch them carefully.  If you want them to mentor you then expect it to take 2-3 times as long to complete core tasks, but then you should make that back up on the next deployment round.

And everyone should attend standard product training at least once.   If not on this protocol, on another one.   As a free answer, this answer is worth at least as much as what you paid for it.
