Hi,

I am unable to attach some files can u guide how to attach doc's.

I am working on loadrunner into performance testing. I have a problem
with Winsock protocol can you help me.

Currently we are trying to test SAP BI application. we need to test
BEX (Business explorer) analyser.
The steps are as follows,
1. Open Bex Analyser. ( opens excel with bex toolbar)
2. Click on Open Query in the excel.
3. Select the required system i.e, SAP BI - IS Test BWC and click on
ok.
4. Enter user name and password and click ok.
5. Now it has connected to SAP database server. Slect the report u
want to open.
6. Enter for which parameters you want the report to retrieve data and
click ok.
On OK, it generates report.

I have used winsock protocol for recording and parameterized some
values. When i reply i am getting mismatch in receive buffer and the
mismatch is constant bytes difference. I used lrs_set_receive_option
(EndMarker, RecordingSize); function half of the mismacth reduced to
some extent but still i could see some of them.

So can i help me is there nay other function or i have missed some
thing.
I have attached the screenshot and also steps listed above for manual
flow. I have recorded the script same way.
I have also attached script(action.c,data.ws) with replay log.

One more thing, i have never used parameterized values in winsock
protocol so i don't how to check whether iteration are done
successfully i.e, retrieving data or not. Here only mismatch we need
check that's it?
Data retrieved differs with parameter values provided when we record
using winsock for some parameter value will the script can manage for
different parameters?

With http/html protocol it different it just access that url but with
winsock i have no idea how it will work for differnt parameters no. of
buffers differs with parameter values provided so i have doubt.

Hope i get some help from your side.

first rule dont mention your company name.

Second thing. why did you chose Winsock protocol or http protocol, I would first check SAP-Web protocol even though both SAPweb and httpweb are very similar.

From what experts have told me, Winsock is buggy. So it shoould be last option.

check with SAPWeb/Http web, and tell us whats the issue that yuou are facing.

or try multi protocol or web and winsock.

let us know the updates.

Thanks.
