Hi,

I created a script using TruClient web protocol. I opened the script. I tried to drag the lr_start_transactions from the steps tool box to a step within the script, it does not allow me to insert. I also tried to edit the script but it does not allow me to type anything. The script is in read only mode.

How can I edit and insert transactions?

Thanks.

When a TruClient script is in 'develop mode' richt-click on a step and select "Surround with Transaction" or "Start Transaction".
For a dynamic transaction name drag the 'Evaluate JavaScript' from the toolbox and use the TC.startTransaction and TC.endTransaction functions, see http://tchelp.saas.hpe.com/en/12.53/Content/TruClient/reference/functions.htm and http://tchelp.saas.hp.com/en/12.50/Content/TruClient/_tc_example_dynamic_transaction.htm

The "TruClient Tips & Tricks Webinar - Session 1" also demonstrates how to use transactions:

select the step which u want to insert the transaction, right click on the step and select "Start transaction" or "Surround with transaction"

or

you can use "Transaction Editor (Alt+Ctrl+F7)" and select your step which you want to insert transaction

Thanks
