This is one of the most common questions asked on all performance testing tools, How to address the windows common dialogs for file open/save/save as/…   You need to ask yourself, are you recording at the level where this event is generated or are you recording at a different level of the OSI model where this event does not occur.   To answer this question you will need to leverage your pre-performance-testing-profession foundation skills of client application architecture and development.   Once you have answered the question on what OSI level the dialog is happening at and what level of the OSI you are recording at then you will naturally have your answer on how the windows common dialog should be addressed in your code.

Subject: Loadrunner Multiple File upload File Path Issue

Hi ,

Working on Web Application (.Net), The business scenario is multiple file upload,

1. Select files from local drive (silverlight), 2. Upload the selected files to the server (Html).

Used Web(Http/Html) to record the flow, It is not capturing the browse the file from the local drive, but the upload actions are captured (as it is html request).

could not able to multiprotocol with Web(Http and Html) and Silverlight. Please suggest me the protocol to do the above scenario.

Thanks for your time.

Regards,

Chinna
