Hacking for Humanity
Throughout the weekend, we will be coding around problems related to disaster risk
and response. RHoK has been working with subject matter experts from around the
globe to develop problem statements addressing global disaster risk challenges. These
problem statements will be the hacking challenges thrown out to developers assembled
in over a dozen locations across the globe for the RHoK hacking event. See those
statements as they develop at http://wiki.rhok.org
At the end of the weekend, we'll invite you to share your RHoK application with the
world, with the potential to win prizes and to see your work put to use on the ground
to save lives and make a difference. Winning apps developed at past RHoK events are
already being put to use in the field!
What do I need?
We will provide facilities, power, food and refreshments to sustain you through the
marathon of coding. Just bring your laptop, ideas and enthusiasm to complete the mix.
