Lots of good stuff on MIT Open Courseware, but this class is along the
same lines and skill level as LPTHW.
The difference is this course is a CompSci course that uses Python
instead of a Python class. There isn't any assumption that you know
anything going in which is nice. LPTHW is good, but I didn't like all
the "Now go look that up on the internet to see what it does" in lieu
of actual explanation.
Free textbook and like 27 hours of video lectures and examples. Good
for those just starting to program or, like me, those who haven't
coded in years and need to knock the rust off.
