The free downloadable photoshop clone - GIMPshop
Photo editing IS DEFINITELY expensive software, but that doesn't mean
you should be scavenging for a free download of photoshop. For shame!
But before you get all red-faced and guilt-stricken, I'm here to tell
you that there IS actually a free downloadable version of this popular
image manipulation software. That's right 100% free of charge!
Why contribute to piracy when there's absolutely no need?
Photoshop is great software (otherwise millions wouldn't be using it).
This company has built a rock solid flagship product and deserves to
charge top dollar for it. Kudos to them for living the American dream.
But shame on you if you indeed are trying to steel a free download.
You've heard it before, but it's true. As piracy becomes more and more
undeniable, software companies will have to jack up their prices. And
the vicious cycle will continue. I know you want to do the right
thing, but the price is so high. I won't lie, I've used not so ethical
means to obtain software that I didn't want to shell out huge amounts
of cash for. But if I were to be slapped in the face and found out
that I could be righteous and download a program that essentially does
the same thing for free (legally), I'd choose free and righteous every
time.
Here's your slap in the face
Get righteous and free. There is in fact a free downloadable Adobe
photoshop twin. It's called GIMP.
GIMP is a full powered photoshop clone that is made by software
developers that don't want to charge a penny for it! (Licensed under
GPL)
Don't hurry off and search for GIMP just yet
The default GIMP interface, as one would expect, does not look exactly
like photoshop. Not good if you're used to photoshop's interface,
right? No worries, there's a way to change that. All you have to do is
download a program GIMPshop that puts a skin on top of the original
GIMP program to make it look and feel more like adobe photoshop.
