I don't think this has anything to do with receiving e-mails.  I normally monitor that list by going to the web archive, and the last message posted there is from 30 October.  I think this simply means that there has been no traffic on that list for the past two weeks.

 

But Mimi mentioned in today's state Executive Committee meeting that she gets LNC emails "daily". 

 

I suspect that this is because, like many of us, Mimi is subscribed to many lists.  I know when I receive e-mails on similar subjects via many different lists I often don't necessarily notice through which list I received a particular message -- I don't normally bother to check the headers unless there is some specific reason that I think it matters -- and I'm guessing the same is true for Mimi.  She very likely has been getting "LNC" e-mails "daily" -- just not ones via the "public" list.

If people are being unsubscribed without them taking any action to do so, or notification of having been unsubscribed, obviously it is a problem. And sadly it wouldn't be the first time this has happened.

 

Yes, I agree that this would be a problem, but I don't see any evidence that this is what happened here.
