Hi Everyone,

Its sure been pretty busy around here. We are launching a new Windows program that is very nice and uses a lot of new features and puts the data in your office on your network.

What I’d like to make clear here is that we are NOT taking away the program you are already using! In fact, I’m about to go through it over the next couple of months and do some heavy tweaks to it to make it more friendly. Doing the Windows program has taught me a few things about user interfaces and what is possible and has made a better programmer out of me. I look forward to applying these skills to the web versions of our product.

We are NOT depreciating your LoyalDog either. I know you may hear me talk a lot about the new Windows program – that because we’re excited about it. The Windows program and the web programs will be using the same database. They will be able to work together. An agency can use both of them at the same time or either one of them and run their business fine.

Now… We have something very hot coming your way in a few more hours and I need to know who wants this and who doesn’t:

They’re called QRCodes. Check them out at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/QR_Code

Basically your WorkOrder will be able to print them on them and you can snap them fast with your cell phone and update the completion info on a job very quickly in real time. Imagine a code for Personal and a code for Substitute, a code for No Answer, etc... Sure, you may have 7 or 8 barcodes on your workorder, but you will be able to securely update your jobs from the field with a cell phone without even logging in! It is REAL fast. Today I am beginning to integrate it. Let me know if you want it and its yours. You need a phone that can run Java. Most newer ones can.

J

Rob

PS – I will be starting discussions in here for updates to the program in mid June – so start making a list of features you’d like!

The subpoenas for California still don't list the name of the server on them.  I would also like to see a dedicated proof of service that is for 3/30/60 day notice to quit, etc.  As you know, these notices do not have a plaintiff or defendant and case number so the traditional proof is not working out for them.
