Attn all LoyalDog users:

QR Codes are now fully operational in your programs and your cell phones can snap pictures of them on the workorder and it instantly updates the job.

They work nicely! – all who want this feature let us know and we’ll change your workorders over to print the QR Codes on them.

Come see them being demonstrated at the NAPPS convention in Portland on 5/31!

Imagine being able to advertise Real Time Field Updates to your clients and actually being able to do it in real life! For years we have had a cellphone interface that does just that – but nothing is as fast as these QRCodes. You just snap the barcode and it sends itself in to your LoyalDog and updates it fast. You don’t have to login, you don’t have to type in a password and you don’t have to tell it how it was served because its all in the barcode!

We’re looking HARD at a Blackberry app down the road… How many of you have Blackberries?

I use a Blackberry 8703e. Sorry I’ll miss you this year at NAPPS.  I am heading to Florida for the FALI conference and have a graduating high school senior to tend to.

Rob,

Can you put it on my program? I have a TREO 650. What do you mean by “snap a picture”? just take a picture with the camera? Or is it the infrared? I’m not sure how it works.

Hi Peter,

I don’t think they work on the TREO 650. Very new Nokia phones have a QR Code reader built in.

For some others there are readers available at:

http:/quickmark.com.tw/

and

http://kaywa.com

I also have one that works on some less expensive SonyEricsson phones. Do you still want me to convert your workorders over?

I have a Crackberry.  When I take a picture with the phone, would I need to send it, or does the phone recognize it and send it automatically.  Does it work on the Razer phones?

Hi John – Its not going to work on the Crackberry yet.

Now the Razor is a different story. If you have a V3x or newer it should work!

Point your Razor to: http://main.loyalpuppy.com/ and let me know if it will install the app in there.

Hi Rob,

Bill has a Crackberry, he'd probably like the app "down the road" but
isn't ready for it yet.

>Point your Razor to: http://main.loyalpuppy.com/ and let me know if it will
>install the app in there.

I did this with my Razor V3m, but all I was able to see was a link
that said "LD Reader," which gave me a list of what looks
like ...object properties? ... Nothing that appeared to "install."

Hi Jessica - you're going to need at least a V3x for it...
