Back when I first hooked everything up I only had a few DS18B20's available. I'm measuring my living room at 2 different places and average it out, and the bathroom.

I have enough wiring available to put more 1-wire temp sensors around the house and ordered some up from Ali Express. Finally got around to installing them today only to find that they muck everything up.

When I do a search for 1-wire devices I find the 3 that were already installed. If I wire one of the new ones up and do a search, nothing is found. I tried wiring a new sensor up at the place were an old one was to see if I messed something up with the cabling or if it were the sensors. When I attach one of the new sensors anywhere in the 1-wire network, be it to replace an existing, or a new one nothing is found and communication with the existing sensors is lost.

I double checked on the sensors, and the inscription says they're DS18B20. I'm wiring them GND - Data - V+, just like the previous ones. I tried with 4 different sensors already, thinking I got a bad one.

Is there a way I can test the sensor to see if they're broken, or that the pinout is different for some reason?

Thanks in advance.

I had the same problem .

Turned out I had the pin out of the sensor wrong.so pin 1 and 3 wrong.

The best way to check it is directly on the extension. Disconnect your network and try just one sensor directly on the extension. If you see the new one than it should be seen when installed in your network.
