Hi Everyone,

I am looking for a little help.
We are about to get an air source heat pump installed next week and I am keen to integrate this into the Loxone System.

The ASHP is a Mitsubish Ecodan PUHZ Unit.

I am looking to use the MelcoBems interface which is the Mitsubishi Modbus RTU Unit with the Loxone Modbus.

Does anybody have experience of using modbus with the Ecodan Heat Pumps or even other manufacturers for that mind? How have you got them programmed.
I am anticipated i am able to pretty much control everything on Mitsubishi Controller via Modbus.

Any help is really appreciated.

Thanks,

Mike

We have a Daikin Altherma heat pump and was originally going to integrate it with Modbus. The company who produces those interfaces promised to have one compatible with our system for a *long* time (all through our planning process) but never delivered so eventually gave up and bough a Zennio KNX unit. In hindsight this was probably the better option as there is no need to poll the interface when it's communicating via KNX (makes it more responsive to input variables, etc).

Zennio support seem quite good as they have responded efficiently to a couple of queries I had.

Possibly this is their unit to suit your system (could be wrong - they have many 'flavours' of A/C & heat pump controllers), check it out:

BTW, I bought our unit from Voltus in Germany who I also like - generally well priced with good service and support.

HTH,

Robin
